1. WHAT IS THE AVERAGE PRICE FOR YOUR GOWNS? One word describes it all… WOW! Although our prices vary from time to time, we average between $500.00 to $1000.00 for our gowns. However, time and time again, we hear how incredible our prices are for such beautiful gowns. We have access to many different companies and can special order almost any gown you prefer. However, we have hand picked what we feel is the most flattering, most stunning gowns that will leave you and anyone that sees you in an Ashley’s gown completely breathless.
2. WHEN SHOULD I START SHOPPING FOR MY GOWN? Our answer is always immediately. Gowns can sometimes take up to 5 months to come in and then you need to leave enough time to do the alterations. The more time you give yourself, the better it is for you.
3. WHAT IF I FIND THE PERFECT GOWN BUT I AM NOT YET READY TO BUY? CAN YOU HOLD THE GOWN FOR ME? Unfortunately, we can not. If we set aside that gown for you, we might be depriving someone else from purchasing it who needs it right away. Also, now that we have two locations, our gowns are moving around and being sold right off the rack much quicker. The advantage is if you don’t find the perfect gown on your first visit, you can visit us again in a few weeks and see different and new gowns then. So our suggestion is ask yourself, “If I find the perfect gown, am I ready to buy it today?” If the answer is no, then you might consider waiting until you are ready that way if you find the perfect gown, you won’t have to leave it behind.
4. WHAT IF I SAW A GOWN BUT DID NOT SEE IT AT ASHLEY’S? CAN YOU ORDER IT FOR ME? Yes we can. It will depend on the designer but we can order from hundreds of different lines so call us and we will be more than happy to look into it for you.
5. HOW IS ASHLEY’S BRIDAL DIFFERENT FROM THE BIG CHAINS OR OTHER STORES? The big chains operate under the “warehouse” approach and therefore only offer the “off the rack; as is” type of gown that may be stained or damaged. Shoppers are under the impression that they will spend less on a gown but generally end up buying a gown that is the same price or more than what we charge. Even if you decide to purchase the gown “off the rack” from Ashley’s, we will fully clean and repair the gown to look like new.
The main difference from our competitors is that we do not have any commission salespeople. So if you ask for our help on how something looks or ask for an opinion between certain accessories, the answer will be honest and straightforward. We believe the BIGGEST difference is … we love what we do! When my husband and I got married years ago, we remember how difficult and overwhelming the whole shopping experience felt. Our ultimate goal is to help you find the perfect dresses and have so much fun doing it that you can’t wait to bring your friends back for their wedding.
6. DOES ASHLEY'S BRIDAL DO ALTERATIONS ON SITE AND WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? Yes, we do and by appointment only. Most brides when shopping usually only compare the initial cost of the dress looking for the best price. However, they do not realize that many of these “discount places” have no seamstresses. So when you need alterations to your gown, the money that you saved is now being spent with someone that may not have the skills or the experience to make your gown fit properly. Due to this overwhelming need, we can only offer this service to those that have purchased their gown at Ashley’s Bridal. All of our seamstresses are highly skilled with many years of experience and specialize in wedding attire.
7. WHAT KIND OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT? We prefer either cash or checks. We do accept Visa, Mastercard and Debit cards. We can provide a flexible lay-a-way plan as well.
